Many people have had a hand in creating Saint Louis youth football. From the first year running 7th and 8th grade tackle, through the following years adding 5th and 6th grade tackle, then finally 3rd & 4th grade combined, and Flag football for K-2 students, this program was built from the ground up by Saint Louis parents and school staff for the youth and the future of the Saint Louis community.
The Youth Football program was overseen for years by Saint Louis Community Education. After school budget cuts from the Community Education program, the board members were given an ultimatum - Create their own organization to run youth football, or there would be no more youth football program in Saint Louis. In reaction to the ultimatum, Saint Louis Youth Football Organization (SLYFO) was created. In 2019 the Board Of Directors welcomed a new President, Kyle MacDougall, as well as many new board members. Current board members are Haley Barnaby (Secretary), Tammy Seleski (Treasurer), Amanda Alward (Trustee/Cheer Corrdinator) Austen Mellios (Trustee/Flag Coordinator), Aaron Schulz (President/Equipment Manager), Beth Russell (Trustee/Fundraising), Lorraine Farkas (Trustee/Fundraising) and Norbert Seleski (Vice President).
The SLYFO board is excited to help our youth develop into commited and respectful athletes!
